M.Tech Project:
Title: A Mechanism for Detecting Session Hijacks in Wireless Networks
Environment: Core JAVA, Eclipse 3.2.
Description: This project proposes a mechanism for detecting session hijacking attacks in wireless networks. The proposed scheme is based on using a wavelet based analysis of the received signal strength. First develop a model to describe the changes in the received signal strength of a wireless station during a session hijack, while the received signal is caused by fading wireless channels. An optimal filter is then designed for the purpose of detection.
B.Tech Project:
Title: IGA for Channel Allocation with Channel Borrowing in Mobile Computing
Environment: Core JAVA, Net Beans 5.5.
Description: This project exploits the potential of the Genetic Algorithm to solve the cellular resource allocation problem. When a blocked host is to be allocated to a borrowable channel, a crucial decision is which neighboring cell to choose to borrow a channel. It is an optimization problem and the genetic algorithm is efficiently applied to handle this. The Genetic Algorithm, for this particular problem, is improved by introducing a new genetic operator, named pluck, that incorporates a problem-specific knowledge in population generation and leads to a better channel utilization by reducing the average blocked hosts.
Strengths:
- Determined, Dedicated, Confident and Disciplined in all situations.
- Curious to learn new things.
- Ability to advise the students and problem solving attitude
- Ability in clarifying the doubts.
